Brazil

“Nothing went according to the schedule, yet everything went right!”   Jon-Isaac Brookes

It was once said: “Blessed are the flexible for they will not be broken”. Yes, flexibility is one of the keys to a successful mission trip. Yet, what do we do when the whole mission schedule gets thrown into a blender, turned on high and the lid is left off? We pray and go with God’s flow: Divine appointments as we go! The events in Itapetininga and Buri Brazil were awesome. Everything went according to God’s schedule. Lots of people accepted Jesus as Savior, broken hearts healed and lives changed by the power of God.

As soon as my feet hit the side walk in Itapetininga, We were whisked off to a TV station for an interview with a local secular channel. We finished a very intense hour of interviews with prayer for the city and were able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ during the interview.

We connected with our team only to find that nothing we planned was set in motion for the event. God made a plan though, it just wasn't on our books! After we found a place for the team to stay, God unfolded wonderful days with many accepting Jesus as Savior and healing of broken hearts.

In both cities we preached many messages on the heart and life of King David. Lots of People were touched by the Lord and came forward at each meeting. A four year old girl walked up to me during one alter call and said: “I came forward in your service last night and no one prayed with me. Can I accept Jesus today?” Through a few tears I led this little one to faith in Jesus Christ.

Another woman walked up with tears in her eyes and asked, “do you remember me?” I said no. She responded, “My son was doing drugs and living a terrible lifestyle. He went to your crusade in the park the last time you were here. He gave his life to Jesus that night. His whole life changed. Soon after accepting Jesus, he married a wonderful Christian woman and now they are on the way to the mission field. Thank you for your commitment to share Jesus in Brazil”

We were  blessed to share Jesus in schools through the Story of David and Goliath.  The alter call was given, “Jesus will give you power to over come the Goliath’s in your life.  Goliath might be drugs, alcohol, school bullies or family troubles. Turn from sin and trust Jesus today. He will give you power to over come them.” Dozens of teens accepted Jesus at each school.

The team also ministered in soup kitchens, homes for the elderly, on the streets and even an Executive Forum for CEOs, City Leaders and Business Executives. We are looking at doing training for them next year on Jesus Servant Leadership. I am amazed at how God works in such perfect ways! To Jesus be glory for all these things! “This is what we do for Jesus!” This was one of the best teams and events we’ve ever had.  God bless you! Please keep us in your prayers!

 Our Nation: Our People:
My first trip to Sao Paulo Brazil was in 2004. I never dreamed how it would change my life forever. I was invited to participate in an evangelistic event with another Evangelist. To date I’ve made 13 trips to Brazil. In the near future we will have a mission base there.    Though we will continue work in the USA, I’ve decided to place most of our time and ministry resources to reach Brazil for Jesus. The burden in my heart for these people is deep and strong.
Pastors of  Brazil want to partner with us to return each year to continue work in the region.  God is moving powerfully in this beautiful nation as hundreds give their hearts to Jesus.

Please pray for us as we move forward
into next year.   God Bless you all!
